This week at Bamboo Bend has been busy. A week long private rod making class is about to wrap up just in time for Opener Weekend here in Michigan. The rods these wonderful folks are making have the folks running the course slack jawed. The rods are turning out incredibly well.
As part of the activities for this class and the upcoming class for the veterans, a new dip tube cabinet got constructed. This ‘dip-mahal’ was broken in tonight. I had a finished blank laying around from some forgotten horse trade and we test the new dip tube setup on it. The results were pretty encouraging. We will work out any remaining bugs tomorrow when we dip 7 rods. The setup will be tuned and tweaked for the vets in the class in 2 weeks.
